Job summary

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is assisting a client in Atlanta, GA to hire a Mechanical Engineering Manager. This full-time, on-site role leads the mechanical engineering discipline and builds the standards, systems, and team to scale a growing industrial technology organization.

The manager will oversee capital projects, set governance, and partner with EPC firms and vendors to deliver repeatable, high‑quality engineering outcomes across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 12+ years in chemical processing, petrochemical, refining or related fields.
• Experience leading engineering teams and overseeing EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Proven track record delivering large capital projects from concept through startup.
• Strong understanding of static and rotating equipment and governance of standards.
• Ability to build organizations, systems, and technical standards at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Engineering organization and develop capability roadmaps.
• Serve as the enterprise Mechanical Discipline Authority for key design decisions.
• Drive standardization, equipment specifications, and templates across facilities.
• Provide technical oversight on capital projects and ensure safety, quality, and reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, PM, Ops, Procurement, and Construction.
