Job description

The Sage Group’s client, a cybersecurity saas business, is seeking an entrepreneurial, agile, and seasoned Head of Marketing to lead their end-to-end global marketing strategy and team. In this high-impact role, you will bridge strategic vision with hands-on execution across Product Marketing, Branding, and Revenue Marketing.

As a true marketing generalist, you thrive on driving full-funnel growth—standing up compelling brand messaging, positioning technical value propositions, and building multi-channel demand engines that generate predictable pipeline. Leading a talented core team of 4, you will oversee the marketing stack, optimize budget investments, and partner closely with Sales, Product, and Partner leadership to accelerate deal velocity and fuel enterprise expansion.

Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Positioning
  • Brand Identity & Voice: Define and elevate their corporate brand architecture, visual identity, tone, and messaging across all global touchpoints and channels.
  • Market Positioning: Articulate clear, differentiated value propositions and customer-facing messaging that resonate across key ICPs, buyers, and industry verticals.
  • Public Relations & Comms: Oversee corporate communications, PR strategy, analyst relations (e.g., Gartner, Forrester), and thought leadership programs to expand brand equity and awareness.
2. Revenue Marketing & Demand Generation
  • Pipeline Engine Creation: Design and execute integrated, omni-channel campaigns (digital media, events/trade shows, webinars, email, content syndication, and ABM) aligned to annual pipeline and account goals.
  • Sales Alignment & ABM: Partner directly with Sales Leadership to prioritize segments, target accounts, and align marketing initiatives to sales plays and quota coverage.
  • MarTech & Operations: Oversee the optimization of their tech stack to ensure multi-touch attribution, lead routing, and clear ROI reporting.
3. Product Marketing & Enablement
  • Go-To-Market Execution: Collaborate with Product and Solutions teams to drive product launches, market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback loops.
  • Sales Enablement: Translate product features into compliant, high-converting buyer collateral, case studies, pitch decks, and battle cards that shorten sales cycles.
  • Customer Growth & Retention: Execute retention and cross-sell programs targeting top accounts to drive expansion and minimize customer churn.
4. Leadership & Operational Excellence
  • Team Leadership: Direct, coach, and empower a high-performing team of 4 specialists, fostering an environment of curiosity, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Budget & ROI Management: Own and manage the overall marketing budget; regularly review pipeline velocity, attribution, and program ROI with executive stakeholders.
  • Process & Automation: Leverage AI-assisted tools and marketing automation to continuously streamline workflows, personalize engagement, and scale productivity.
Who You Are
  • Strategic Leader & Doer: You are equally comfortable drafting annual 12-month GTM roadmaps and digging into campaign data, copy editing, or setting up workflow logic alongside your team.
  • Proven Generalist: You have deep, cross-functional fluency across product marketing, brand strategy, content creation, and technical demand generation.
  • Data-Driven & Growth-Minded: You connect marketing spend directly to pipeline revenue, customer acquisition, and expansion, using data to iterate and optimize.
  • Agile Builder: You thrive in fast-paced environments, navigate ambiguity with ease, and know how to stand up robust systems from the ground up.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with 3+ years leading marketing strategy and people management (Director, Head of, or VP level).
  • Proven track record of managing and developing direct reports (experience managing teams of 3–5+ preferred).
  • Strong, demonstrated expertise spanning Product Marketing, Branding/Comms, and Revenue Marketing / Demand Generation.
  • Track record of building multi-channel integrated campaigns that deliver measurable pipeline growth, faster conversion rates, and revenue impact.
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern CRMs (Salesforce), Marketing Automation Platforms (Marketo, HubSpot), and analytics platforms, including AI-enabled tools for content and optimization.
  • Excellent written communication and storytelling skills—able to simplify complex, technical concepts for executive, business, and technical buyers alike.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA is a plus).
