A global company is seeking a Head of Marketing to drive brand growth and marketing initiatives. SafetyWing (YC W18)is seeking a Head of Marketing to lead the creative and strategic direction of our brand during an exciting next chapter of growth. We’re looking for someone bold who can break the barriers of possibility to make SafetyWing’s character known to the world. Someone who understands how to scale marketing systems, shares our vision for the future, and knows how to communicate ideas that resonate, stories that spread, and experiences people want to be part of.
We are on a mission to remove the role of geographical borders as a barrier to equal opportunities and freedom for everyone. And we are doing that by creating simple health, insurance, and retirement products for remote workers worldwide as a replacement for national welfare systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Creating a compelling brand experience that builds brand love and leaves a deep cultural impact
Defining and leading the global marketing strategy across brand, content, product and growth, shaping our go-to-market narratives and ensuring excellent execution
Leading the development and execution of high-impact brand initiatives by setting the strategic direction, collaborating with the creative team and external agencies, and overseeing the successful rollout of campaigns
Overseeing all brand and comms touchpoints including campaigns, emails, social media, podcasts, media relations, events, newsletters, merchandise, videos, thought leadership, and more, ensuring a clear, compelling voice that aligns our mission with every message
Establishing and scaling novel marketing growth channels to scale our revenue 10x from today
Establishing a simple metrics dashboard to measure effectiveness across our initiatives
We are looking for someone who:
Understands human motivation and applies it in a first principles way
Leads with boldness and authenticity, with a strong intuition for what resonates with people
Can communicate complex ideas simply and attractively
Has experience building and creating bold, unique marketing strategies, a plus if its from the scale of $50M – $500M revenue (but not required)
Is an independent thinker, able to recognize how a system actually works, or opportunities everyone else miss
Is comfortable in analytics and has experience setting team targets and ensuring they’re met
