Job summary

HeliTeam in Orlando, FL seeks an Assistant Director of Maintenance to lead a multi-base maintenance organization for UH-1H, Bell 206 and Air Tractor aircraft. You’ll develop people, set standards, and partner with the Director of Maintenance to drive growth and safety.

You will manage daily operations, plan scheduling, and ensure regulatory compliance while mentoring technicians and preparing for peak-season deployments.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
• Extensive hands-on experience with UH-1H and/or Bell 206 series.
• Proven leadership as Director of Maintenance or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 91, 133, 135, 137 regulations.
• Proficiency with maintenance tracking software and technical publications.
• Ability to travel extensively and deploy to remote locations during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build maintenance team across multiple bases.
• Oversee daily maintenance, planning, scheduling, and prioritization to maximize aircraft availability.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and airworthiness, maintain records and audits.
• Drive process improvements, cost control, and part/vendor coordination.
• Stay hands-on on complex airframe, powerplant, rotor, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
