Job summary

Spotlight Events, Inc. seeks a Director of Production to oversee all aspects of event production, including AV, staging, media, and logistics. Lead the Technical, Media, and Production teams to ensure consistent, high-quality shows across 90+ venues annually.

The role requires 7+ years in live production, strong leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. Travel to regional and national events is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in live event production with crew oversight and logistics.
• Deep understanding of AV, staging, lighting, and media workflows.
• Strong leadership, organizational, coaching, and delegation skills.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary production teams across locations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Budget management and cost analysis expertise.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all production-related departments (Technical, Media, Logistics, Event Production).
• Direct Production Manager, Supervisors, and seasonal staff.
• Design scalable production strategies for 90+ venues yearly.
• Ensure AV, lighting, staging, and multimedia meet standards.
• Manage logistics, freight, warehousing, and inventory.
• Negotiate contracts with A/V, power, internet, and services.
• Coordinate with Media/Marketing on photography and videography.
• Lead load-in/load-out procedures with safety and timing.
• Mentor and develop production team members.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across departments.
• Drive innovation in show design and production systems.
• Evaluate performance and implement workflow improvements.
• Represent Production at planning meetings and post-show reviews.
