Job summary

Citi is seeking a highly experienced engineering leader to own the Personal Loans Core and Lending API integration platforms in Jacksonville. The role drives architecture, standards, and secure, scalable delivery across value, lending, and commerce APIs.

You will lead senior engineers, set governance, review designs, and contribute hands-on where needed to unblock teams and ensure regulatory alignment, delivering reliable platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in a senior Engineering or Technology leadership role.
• Significant experience building complex business and/or transactional models, API integration, lending or commerce platforms.
• Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise‑grade API architectures (REST, GraphQL, event‑driven, microservices).
• Deep expertise in integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, message queues, API gateways, service mesh).

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve delivery of Personal Loans Core and Lending API integration platforms.
• Define target-state architecture, API-first and event-driven patterns; guide principal engineers.
• Lead large-scale software solutions with impact across value, lending, and commerce platforms.
• Design reviews leadership and hands-on coding to unblock teams and validate approaches.
