Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Director of Operations to lead end-to-end operations for a multi‑shift manufacturing plant and raw material warehouse. You will own safety, talent development, and continuous improvement while driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash.

The role champions the Generac Manufacturing System (GMS) and Lean principles to build a safe culture and improve customer experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years applying lean principles with year-over-year improvement.
5+ years of leadership experience managing teams in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations across a multi‑shift manufacturing facility and warehouse campus.
Drive lean principles and continuous improvement to meet KPI targets.
Deploy Generac Manufacturing System (GMS) using PDCA and MDI for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash.
Establish standardized work and a visually controlled operating environment.
Develop talent, coach leaders, and sustain a strong performance culture.
Plan long-range capacity, capital, tech, and workforce needs; align with growth plans.
