Job summary

Generac seeks a Director of Operations to lead end-to-end manufacturing and warehouse operations across multiple shifts. You will drive lean execution, implement the Generac Manufacturing System, and build a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and delivery.

The role emphasizes leadership development, standardized work, and strategic planning for capacity and technology investments to support profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years applying lean principles with year-over-year improvement.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and continuous improvement across a multi-shift facility and warehouse.
• Drive lean manufacturing using GMS, PDCA, and MDI to hit KPI targets (safety, quality, delivery, cost).
• Establish standardized work for stability and productivity.
• Create a visual operating environment to expose problems quickly.
• Lead Leader Standard Work and audits to sustain improvements.
• Ensure best-in-class customer experience through quality and speed.
• Develop, coach, and mentor leaders and frontline teams.
