Job summary

Eyelit Technologies in New Jersey is seeking a Senior IT Manager to own day-to-day operations across our on-prem and cloud infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role balances directing strategy with active involvement in terminals, firewalls, and change reviews.

You will guide infrastructure health, cloud platforms, security, identity, and vendor relationships while building a resilient, scalable IT environment. Strong collaboration and a track record in SOC 2 or ISO 27001 are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT infrastructure or operations.
• 3+ years leading a team or function.
• Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and Macs in production.
• Strong virtualization background.
• Production experience with public cloud and Kubernetes.
• Solid networking fundamentals.
• Scripting/automation skills.
• Security operations and a compliance framework such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST CSF.
• Clear written communication.

Responsibilities

• Own health, capacity, and lifecycle of on-premises virtualization and hosted infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud and/or Azure/AWS): compute, Kubernetes, managed databases, networking, IAM.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code and configuration management for reproducible environments.
• Lead platform migration and modernization projects end to end.
• Operate and improve the security stack: firewalls, endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability management.
• Administer enterprise identity: Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, SSO and OIDC integrations, MFA.
• Maintain evidence, controls, and audit readiness for SOC 2.
• Lead incident response for security events and post-incident reporting.
• Lead IT team, set on-call and escalation expectations.
• Own service desk experience, SLAs, knowledge base, onboarding/offboarding.
• Run change management and maintenance windows with review and documentation.
• Define and report operational metrics: uptime, ticket aging, patch compliance, backup success, spend.
• Manage vendor and SaaS relationships: renewals, licensing, right-sizing, consolidation.
