Job summary

Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. is seeking a Director of Infrastructure & Platform Operations to lead strategy, engineering, maintenance, security, and operation of Cambridge’s enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises environments.

The role requires management of data center, compute, storage, networking, end‑user computing, backup, observability, automation, and lifecycle management, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive leadership experience in infrastructure and platform operations.
• Experience establishing service ownership, operational metrics, SLAs, monitoring, incident and problem management, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and resilience practices.
• Experience directing data center operations and infrastructure lifecycle management; vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure and platform operations teams, contractors, and MSPs.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, coaching, performance & succession management.
• Provide governance for demand, prioritization, lifecycle decisions, changes, exceptions, and service performance.
• Lead major incidents and executive communications with clear ownership and impact.
• Build roadmaps, business cases, and executive communications linking tech to business outcomes.
