Job summary

Interpublic’s UM division in New York is seeking a Group Director of Communications Design to lead the design-led planning practice across key client groups.

You will ensure adoption of communications design principles, drive best-in-class, idea-led, culturally empowered ecosystems, and oversee collaboration with creative agencies and internal partners to deliver strategic, commercially feasible design solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in an integrated planning role in media or communications (digital, content).
• Experience with high budget clients that participate in linear video and CTV Upfront.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong leadership and people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead design counsel for clients at key periods (e.g. annual planning) or across key projects (eg. New launches).
• Responsible for communications design product excellence across major planning initiatives across designated client base.
• Oversee collaboration with external partners and internal teams to ensure creative excellence and commercial feasibility of the Connections Design approach.
• Oversight of connections architecture development, analytics strategy and ecosystem delivery across owned, earned, shared & paid (OESP).
