Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. seeks a Senior IT Leader to shape technology strategy and oversee IT investments across the enterprise. You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, and partner with vendors to drive reliable, scalable infrastructure.

You will champion security, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement while guiding multi‑project initiatives and ensuring alignment with business goals across Petco’s technology landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, including 5 years at the manager level.
• Proficient across multiple platforms and emerging technologies.
• Excellent decision-making, interpersonal and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence strategic decisions.
• Vendor management experience including contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategy and oversee technology investments across the company.
• Ensure 24/7 infrastructure operations with disaster recovery capabilities.
• Decide on infrastructure architecture for reliability, performance and security.
• Prepare and manage department budgets and lead IT teams.
• Oversee infrastructure projects and manage vendor partnerships.
• Develop policies to prevent service interruptions and improve operations.
• Collaborate with procurement on vendor evaluations and acquisitions.
