Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks a strategic Director of Information & Security to lead cybersecurity, infrastructure, governance, and enterprise technology operations. The role combines technical depth with executive collaboration to safeguard systems and enable academic innovation.

The on-site Irvine, CA based DOIS will oversee IAM, SIEM, cloud environments, disaster recovery, and policy development while partnering with executives, compliance stakeholders, and vendors to ensure secure, scalable

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive IT leadership experience with infrastructure, security, and enterprise systems.
Experience in higher education or regulated environments is a plus.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
Ability to lead incident response and security remediation efforts.
Experience managing vendors, procurement, and budgets.
Strong communication and executive reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, and security posture.
Oversee infrastructure operations: servers, networking, virtualization, cloud services.
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
Manage identity and access governance, IAM, MFA, and privileged access.
Direct disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response activities.
Coordinate audits, compliance evidence, and governance programs.
Provide executive-level reporting on security posture and risk.
