Job summary

RiseMe in Ardmore, OK, seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the Maintenance Department responsible for repair and preventive maintenance of industrial washers, dryers, boilers, compressors, conveyors and related equipment.

You will supervise staff, manage safety and housekeeping, control budgets and parts purchasing, read blueprints and schematics, and ensure timely completion of PMs and major projects while driving process improvements in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Five years or more of management and industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering highly desirable but not required.
• Strong leadership, proactive, decisive and able to solve problems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train the maintenance staff.
• Maintain safety policies and good housekeeping.
• Oversee inventory control and purchasing of equipment and parts; maintain department budget.
• Supervise repairs and maintenance of industrial washers, dryers, boilers, compressors, conveyors and other equipment.
• Diagnose, rebuild and repair equipment; inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, install minor equipment and repair complex mechanical/electrical faults with little supervision.
• Read blueprints and electrical/electronic schematics.
• Order parts by cross-referencing to local vendors.
• Ensure PMs and major projects are completed efficiently and timely.
• Plan, organize and control plant operations and building renovations.
• Review and evaluate programs, services, policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance and conduct evaluations; address promotions/discipline as needed.
