Job summary

San Diego Zoo Safari Park seeks a Senior Director of In-Park Revenue & Experiences to lead strategic vision, development, and performance of in-park revenue and guest experiences. You’ll oversee Safari Experiences, premium tours, and overnight offerings to drive revenue while advancing conservation goals.

Qualifications

• 8-9 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in revenue-generating operations, hospitality, attractions, retail, premium experiences, or a related guest-serving industry.
• Experience must include responsibility for financial performance, strategic planning, product development, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership of complex teams or multiple operating functions.
• Senior leadership experience within a zoo, aquarium, cultural institution, theme park, resort, or other high-volume visitor destination is preferred.
• Experience within zoo, theme park, or other high-volume guest-serving environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and continuous evolution of mission-aligned programs and experiences that increase visitor engagement and drive topline revenue.
• Provide strategic leadership and direct oversight of Safari Experiences, including premium tours and overnight experiences.
• Establish departmental cohesive vision, develop leaders, build accountable teams, and ensure safe, efficient, financially sustainable operations.
• Collaborate across SDZWA with Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, Merchandising, Business Development, and other partners to align products and capabilities with KPIs.
• Lead business planning, budgeting, forecasting, pricing, capacity management, and portfolio evaluation; use data to inform decisions.
• Establish standards for cohesive, authentic visitor experiences across in-park revenue channels and reflect the Safari Park’s identity and conservation mission.
• Develop productive relationships with vendors and partners; monitor trends and best practices; identify opportunities to strengthen financial sustainability.
