Job summary

Legends Global's Fort Lauderdale convention center is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead day-to-day operations, supervise supervisors and staff, and ensure spaces are clean, safe, and event-ready.

You will coordinate with operations and facilities teams, plan staffing for events, and drive training on safety, standards, and service excellence. Strong leadership and anti-labour-compliance focus required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in commercial, hospitality, convention center, or similar housekeeping operations.
• Minimum three years of supervisory or management experience in housekeeping or related field.
• Experience with staffing, scheduling, event operations, and managing a housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including supervisors and staff, schedules and event coverage.
• Provide hands-on direction during large events, staffing shortages, or supervisor absences.
• Inspect event spaces, restrooms, and back-of-house areas to ensure standards are met.
• Coordinate with Event Operations, Facilities, Security and other departments to support needs.
• Train and develop supervisors and team members on cleaning standards, safety, and customer service.
• Monitor in-house staff and vendors to ensure timely, quality work and budget needs.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and inventory; assist with department expenses.
