Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle is seeking a leader to guide a team spanning engineering and science, turning models for allocation and personalization into production systems that power the Homepage front door for hundreds of millions of customers.

You will own automation roadmaps, replace manual curation with intelligent systems, and drive high-traffic services with low latency, building partnerships across Stores, Ads, Devices, and Prime Video.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management.
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
• Experience with the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team spanning engineering and science to turn allocation, opportunity-cost, and personalization models into production systems on Homepage.
• Own the automation roadmap for production systems, campaign management and content quality (Campaign Hub and override management).
• Make hard technical decisions for services serving hundreds of millions of customers with tight latency and high traffic.
• Grow the team and partnerships, recruiting engineers and scientists and aligning stakeholders across Stores, Ads, Devices, and Prime Video who compete for Homepage space.
