DoorDash Labs is seeking a Senior Director of Hardware and Vehicle Development to own the full hardware lifecycle for our autonomous robot platform. You will lead engineering, manufacturing, and field service, drive scale milestones, and shape a world‑class hardware organization from the ground up.

With a track record of taking hardware programs through volume manufacturing, you will push for profitability and cost efficiency while partnering across autonomy, product, and operations to translate

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hardware, automotive, or closely related field experience.
• 4–5+ years leading a hardware organization at the senior director or VP level.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hardware: lead engineering, manufacturing, and field service for our autonomous robot platform with accountability for scale milestones.
• Build the hardware organization from the ground up with authority and budget to attract top talent.
• Drive profitability by reducing cost and improving efficiency toward robot-level profitability.
