Job summary

Dexcom seeks a Director of Product Systems & Integration to lead hardware product ownership, hardware systems engineering, and software-hardware system integration across the product lifecycle. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required; 15+ years of industry experience in engineering leadership.
• Experience delivering complex, safety-critical, regulated products from concept through commercialization.
• Strong systems engineering background in requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, risk, verification, and design controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Product Systems & Integration organization, including hardware product owners and systems engineers.
• Establish technical ownership, decision rights, and governance across engineering, quality, regulatory, and operations.
• Own hardware product requirements, system architecture, interface definition, and end-to-end traceability.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical integration across software, electrical, mechanical, firmware, sensors, and manufacturing.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, optimize performance, cost, schedule, manufacturability, and regulatory impact.
• Conduct design reviews, negotiate requirements, and structure clear ownership and evidence-based rationale.
• Attract, develop, and retain senior technical leaders, creating career paths and accountability.
• Build a scalable operating model with governance and lessons learned across product development and sustaining programs.
• Strengthen readiness for engineering and clinical builds, verification/validation, manufacturing transfer, and regulatory submissions.
