Job summary

IT By Design, based in Freehold, New Jersey, seeks a Director of Community and Events to transform Build IT from a primarily events-focused organization into a year-round, strategically managed community. The role encompasses community strategy, member engagement, retention, Build IT LIVE, the AI Accelerator program, and executive peer-group experiences.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in community, events, membership, programs, or related leadership roles.
• P&L ownership for an event, program, membership organization, or similar function.
• Experience building and scaling a community, membership program, or event franchise.
• Leading distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
• Ability to deliver results through people who do not directly report to you.
• Strong executive presence with senior business audiences.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to work onsite in Freehold, New Jersey, five days per week.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
