Job summary

CT United FC seeks a Director of Scouting to lead talent identification, evaluation, and recruitment across local, national, and international levels. The role blends traditional scouting with data analytics to build a sustainable talent pipeline aligned with the club’s philosophy.

You will establish a global scouting network, manage reports and rankings, and work closely with the Sporting Director to support roster development and competitive goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a scouting or player recruitment role, preferably within a professional soccer environment.
• Strong knowledge of global soccer markets and talent pipelines.
• Proficiency with scouting software and performance analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail with good planning skills.
• Self-starter, confident, positive and proactive.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, always-on environment.
• Ability to travel extensively and work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Have advanced knowledge in USA soccer landscape (MLSNP, USL, College soccer and MLSNEXT)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive scouting strategy to identify high-potential players at local, national, and international levels.
• Conduct detailed assessments of prospective players, analyzing technical, tactical, physical, and psychological attributes.
• Build and maintain a network of scouts, agents, and football professionals to gather intelligence on emerging talent.
• Integrate advanced analytics and performance data to inform scouting decisions and player comparisons.
• Work closely with the Sporting Director and coaching staff to align scouting priorities with the club's strategic goals.
• Provide detailed scouting reports, player rankings, and video analyses to support recruitment decisions.
• Ensure all scouting activities adhere to league regulations and club policies.
• Build and maintain an up-to-date scouting database.
