The Scout supports talent identification and recruitment across MLS, MLS NEXT Pro, and Academy pathways. This role delivers live and video-based player evaluations, standardized scouting reports, and position-specific shortlists to support evidence-based recruitment decisions.
This position plays a critical role in expanding the club’s talent pool by covering domestic and international markets, college, and youth competitions, assessing tactical, technical, physical, and character fit within the club’s game model and squad needs.
The ideal candidate is a trusted evaluator with a sharp eye for talent, deep football knowledge, and strong reporting discipline who partners closely with the Sporting Director, coaches, and soccer analytics to deliver timely, actionable recommendations, including evenings and weekends during peak scouting periods.
The job requires frequent travel to matches, tournaments, and training venues, prolonged sitting, standing, and working on a computer for video review, with occasional lifting/pushing up to 10 pounds. The job involves regular evening and weekend work.
