Job summary

Trex Company is seeking a Director of Corporate Affairs to lead global communications strategy, alignment of messaging, and crisis management across internal and external audiences. The role partners with the CEO and executive team to protect and enhance Trex’s brand and reputation while guiding enterprise-level communications initiatives.

You will oversee corporate communications, public relations, and regulatory affairs, driving visibility and stakeholder engagement from our Winchester, VA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field and 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, investor relations, or public relations.
• Experience leading integrated communications strategies at the executive level and managing high-stakes communications including crisis and reputation management.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate communications strategy (internal & external) and ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
• Oversee external communications, media relations, and thought leadership content to protect and enhance Trex’s brand.
• Design crisis communications framework and lead response during high-stakes situations.
• Collaborate with marketing, legal, investor relations, and government affairs teams to align campaigns.
• Advise CEO, CFO, and executive team on communications matters and prepare spokespeople for media interactions.
