Job summary

Harmonic Finance Inc. in the Bay Area is seeking a Head of FP&A to build and lead the financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis framework for a rapidly growing Physical AI startup backed by top-tier VC investors.

You will own budgeting, long-range planning, scenario modeling and management reporting, partnering closely with the CFO and executive team as the business scales from roughly 150 to 1,000 employees in the coming year.

Qualifications

• Significant FP&A or related finance experience in a high-growth tech environment.
• Experience owning budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and management reporting.
• Ability to partner with highly technical and operational stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the company-wide FP&A function, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning and scenario analysis.
• Develop the integrated financial model linking headcount, R&D investment, compute requirements, manufacturing programs and product launches to P&L, cash flow and liquidity.
• Establish scalable FP&A processes, reporting infrastructure, KPIs and dashboards for leadership visibility into performance.
• Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, Operations and Procurement to forecast significant investment across compute, data center capacity, hardware and infrastructure.
• Build detailed financial models supporting scale-up of manufacturing programs, including CapEx, capacity and unit economics.
• Own headcount and workforce planning as the organization scales.
• Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting, including budget vs. actual analysis and variance reporting.
• Develop scenario models for growth, investment and hiring to show cash impact and performance.
• Partner with leaders to set budgets, operating plans and measurable KPIs with accountability.
• Support CFO and executives with Board reporting and investor materials.
