Sole Construction Partners is seeking a Director of Finance to serve as the CFO’s strategic partner and second-in-command, guiding budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and operational decision support for the network of five construction companies.

The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, systems-oriented, data-driven, and capable of building high-performing teams, improving processes, and delivering executive insights to enable growth and smarter investments.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with FP&A leadership.
• Strong financial modeling skills are required.
• Background in job costing, WIP, and project-based financial reporting preferred.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct, SQL Server, Power BI, and Alteryx is advantageous.
• Experience leading and developing finance professionals.

Aufgaben

• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
• Develop robust financial models for scenario planning and business cases.
• Analyze trends to identify performance risks, opportunities, and cost drivers.
• Deliver timely reporting and executive-level insights for decisions.
• Partner with Controllers to analyze job profitability and drivers.
• Standardize and optimize financial processes across entities.
• Prepare and present variance analyses with explanations and recommendations.
• Provide coaching and professional development to finance staff.
• Build a culture of analytical excellence, accuracy, accountability, and improvement.
• Establish workflows, expectations, and performance development plans.
• Foster collaboration between finance, accounting, and operations.
• Translate performance, schedules, and cost behavior into financial insight for operations.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting for visibility.
• Support CFO in driving financial architecture and system improvements.
