Job summary

PayPal Austin, TX is seeking a Lead PM to own the foundation model pillar—an ML infra layer generating embeddings used by risk models across towers. Define training/retraining strategy for transformer-based models handling transaction data and behavioral sequences, and manage downstream contracts.

Collaborate with engineering, data science, and risk strategy to prove value through faster downstream deployment and reduced time-to-market for new threat responses. Hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Owns or co-owns a foundation model or transformer-based model platform.
• Experience with model governance in regulated environments.
• Experience with data and feature engineering pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Uses data to build insights on product requirements and direction.
• Lead sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives to drive execution.
• Define training and retraining strategy for transformer-based models.
