Job summary

Vogel Alcove seeks a seasoned Director of Food & Farm-to-Table Services to lead all campus food operations and our Farm-to-Table Garden Program. You will ensure nutritious meals, CACFP compliance, and garden-grown produce integration across campuses.

This full-time, exempt role requires strong budgeting, staff development, and cross-department collaboration to nourish children and families experiencing homelessness.

Qualifications

• Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, Nutrition, or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of progressive leadership in food service operations.
• Thorough knowledge of USDA CACFP regulations and reimbursement requirements.
• Experience managing budgets, purchasing, and inventory in a food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all food service operations across Vogel's campuses.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, visually appealing, and served on schedule.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, safety, sanitation, and customer service.
• Promote scratch cooking and using garden produce in seasonal menus.
• Develop and manage CACFP documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Lead budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management for food service and farm programs.
• Supervise Food Service staff and the Farm-to-Table Garden Coordinator.
• Collaborate with Early Childhood Education and operations to support outdoor learning and menus.
