Job summary

US Foods is seeking a capable production/operations leader for the Stock Yards facility in Illinois to direct and optimize production, distribution, and related activities.

The role requires extensive operations management experience, strategic planning, and a track record in continuous improvement, safety compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across production, shipping, receiving, transportation, purchasing and sales.

Qualifications

• 10 years of operations experience with production/warehouse/distribution
• Minimum 5 years of management experience
• Experience in continuous improvement/lead Six Sigma

Responsibilities

• Oversee production leadership, productivity, and equipment utilization
• Plan and Direct long-term operations objectives aligned with business goals
• Develop and execute strategic plan for the operations department
• Coordinate production, shipping, receiving, transportation, purchasing and sales across functions
• Ensure safety, compliance with government regulations and company programs
• Create performance improvement plans and train staff as needed
