Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a dedicated manager for Ground Systems Fluids Engineering to lead a team delivering critical fluid systems for launch operations. You will set technical direction, ensure design quality, and drive schedule adherence across multiple concurrent projects.

A strong hands‑on engineering background with people leadership is essential. The role requires overseeing P&IDs, analyses, component specs, test documentation, and rigorous PHAs, while mentoring engineers and aligning with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of fluid systems design/analysis, cryogenic or high-pressure focus.
• 3+ years of direct people management, including hiring and performance reviews.
• Experience reviewing complex engineering deliverables (P&IDs, analyses, specs, test docs).
• Experience leading design reviews, PHAs, safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical quality of fluid system designs across the team’s portfolio.
• Review and approve engineering artifacts (P&IDs, system schematics, 3D models, specs, analyses, test procedures).
• Drive rigorous fluid network modeling and thermal analysis.
• Lead design reviews, PHAs, and formal risk evaluations.
• Ensure designs meet codes, standards and safety requirements (ASME B31.3).
• Provide mentorship and career development; conduct performance reviews.
