Job summary

Braintrust Data, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Head of Finance to lead and build Braintrust’s finance function from the ground up. You will own planning, stress-testing bets, and partner with leadership to allocate capital against major opportunities.

In the early stage, you will develop financial models, manage forecasting, and establish operational discipline, then scale a high-performing finance team and processes for long-term value creation.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of progressive finance experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking.

Responsibilities

• Manage forecasting, financial planning, and capital allocation end-to-end.
• Establish budgets and financial principles across the organization.
• Build dashboards to monitor KPIs and identify levers for growth and efficiency.
• Collaborate with recruiting and managers on headcount planning and scaling.
• Oversee treasury strategy and cash flow management to support hyper-growth.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to align priorities with data-driven decisions.
• Prepare materials for Board meetings and support fundraising processes.
