Job summary

You will oversee faculty policy, compliance, and accreditation, as well as annual evaluations, salary data reporting, and program development in a startup-like environment inside a well-established university.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required.
  • Eight years of management experience in a complex higher education environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of faculty affairs, compliance, accreditation, and academic planning.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience per the JHU equivalency formula.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the search and hiring process for designated faculty, including contract negotiation and onboarding of new faculty with fair and inclusive practices.
  • Oversee the faculty appointment and promotion processes.
  • Collaborate with the Instructional Resource Center to develop faculty professional development opportunities and support teaching excellence.
  • Coordinate the annual evaluation process for faculty performance and promotion.
  • Research and prepare reports on faculty demographics, salary equity, and annual contract data.
  • Address faculty-related issues, conflicts and disciplinary actions fairly and consistently.
  • Work with accrediting bodies and the Office of the Provost to meet compliance standards.
  • Partner with the Instructional Resource Center on new program and course developments.

Master's Degree
PhD, JD, MFA, or MBA
