Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Director of External Communications to lead its earned media and external storytelling. Working under the VP, Communications, you will shape the program, write the work, and turn corporate narratives into a steady cadence of announcements and thought leadership across press and investors.

You’ll partner with Product, Engineering and Legal to ensure accurate stories, manage a PR agency, and prepare executives for interviews while maintaining a strong cadence and measurable

Qualifications

• 10+ years in corporate communications or public relations.
• Experience winning earned media in a competitive category.
• Strong writing with portfolio of announcements and bylines.
• Experience managing PR agencies, KPIs and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Own proactive earned media plan across multiple press sectors.
• Anchor external messaging to a unified message house.
• Translate AI/platform developments into credible stories.
• Lead PR agency day to day and set KPIs.
• Prepare executives for interviews and submissions.
• Coordinate with Investor Relations, Finance and Legal.
• Monitor coverage and escalate issues.
