Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Director of External Communications to lead its earned media and external storytelling. Working under the VP, Communications, you will turn the corporate narrative into a steady cadence of announcements, pitches, and thought leadership, shaping the program and executing on the plan.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in corporate communications or public relations.
• Technology company and B2B background preferred.
• Established relationships with business, tech and trade press.
• Exceptional writer with a strong portfolio of announcements and bylines.
• Ability to translate complex technical subjects for non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing PR agencies, KPIs and budgets in a public-company setting.

Responsibilities

• Own the earned media program across business, financial, tech and trade press.
• Draft bylines, speaking submissions and media briefing materials for executives.
• Manage the PR agency day to day and set KPIs and budget.
• Collaborate with Investor Relations, Finance and Legal on disclosures.
• Track coverage and emerging issues and coordinate response.
• Shape external storytelling from product, AI, platform and marketplace updates.
