Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 5–7 years of related experience in museum/exhibit contexts.
• Experience supervising staff in a museum, cultural or historical organization.
• Knowledge of project management principles for exhibitions, public programming or education spaces.

Aufgaben

• Manages the creation of new exhibit spaces and public areas.
• Advises on Exhibits and Space related projects to Smithsonian offices.
• Designs exhibitions, public programming or education spaces from concept through fabrication and maintenance.
• Ensures accessibility and ADA compliance of spatial/visual elements.
• Coordinates with project teams and technical experts in fabrication, lighting, AV, accessibility and operations.
• Oversees ongoing maintenance of gallery and public engagement spaces.
