The client is seeking a Managing Director for “The People’s House,” an educational museum and visitor experience in Washington, DC. the role is central to ensuring high operational standards while advancing the broader mission of The client, supporting acquisition, preservation, research, and education through both educational programming and retail offerings.

As Managing Director, you will shape operations and help set strategic goals for a museum still in its early years of operations. you will oversee day-to-day leadership for key areas including museum operations, guest services and experience, and associated teams, ensuring the visitor experience remains consistent, engaging, and aligned with institutional objectives.

You will collaborate closely with senior functional leaders across education, finance, development, and marketing, communications, and engagement, and will supervise a team of museum professionals, including directors responsible for operations and guest services. the role reports directly to the President of The client, with an expectation to help drive continuous improvement across exhibits, educational programming, and guest-facing functions.
