Job summary

DemandBridge, part of Fluent Software Group, is seeking a hands-on engineering leader in Canada or the US (remote) to drive the next-generation ERP. You will coach engineers, shape architecture, and contribute code while collaborating with Product to turn roadmaps into reliable deliveries.

You will lead tech direction for a Java-based ERP, balance modernization with existing products, and own the release lifecycle, testing, and observability. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development and 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on Java experience with enterprise apps.
• Experience building or modernizing ERP or complex B2B systems.
• Proven track record with agile, CI/CD, and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the engineering team with coaching and 1:1s.
• Define technical direction for the ERP and architectural decisions.
• Balance modernization with existing product lines and tech debt.
• Own SDLC, sprint cadence, standups, and release schedules.
• Drive AI-assisted development tool adoption and code quality practices.
• Manage production operations, on-call, and incident response.
