Job description

Do you enjoy being involved in the full ERP implementation, not just one stage of it?

We're recruiting for an established ERP software provider that is expanding its North American professional services team. The company's platform supports customers across the lumber and building-materials sector and they are looking for a hands-on consultant who can help deliver new implementations from beginning to end.

You'll be involved from the initial discovery stages through configuration, data migration, integrations, testing, training, go-live and early customer support. It's a varied role that combines direct customer interaction with genuinely technical ERP work.

The role
  • Lead discovery sessions to understand customer processes, systems and priorities
  • Configure the ERP platform around operational requirements
  • Extract, transform, validate and migrate data from legacy systems
  • Use SQL for data validation, reporting, troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Configure APIs and support integrations with external business platforms
  • Work with customers through testing and go-live preparation
  • Create reports, documentation and training materials
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, developers and third-party providers
  • Support customers during go-live and the initial stabilization period
  • Advise customers when a process should be simplified rather than customised
The right person

You'll be an experienced ERP consultant who has delivered implementations directly for customers while working for an ERP software provider. You should be comfortable taking technical ownership across the full implementation lifecycle rather than specialising in only one stage.

You'll bring:
  • Customer-facing ERP implementation experience gained with an ERP software vendor
  • Experience personally leading at least three implementations from discovery through go-live
  • Strong practical SQL skills
  • Experience extracting, transforming, validating and migrating customer data
  • Knowledge of APIs and third-party systems integrations
  • Confidence leading customer workshops and gathering requirements
  • Experience supporting testing, cutover, go-live and post-live stabilization
  • Strong documentation, communication and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to determine whether an issue sits within data, configuration, process or development
  • Experience balancing several customer projects or workstreams

Experience implementing ERP within the LBM industry would be highly beneficial, but it isn't essential. Candidates from ERP vendors such as Epicor, ECI, Kerridge or comparable software providers may also be considered, even if they have supported a different industry.

This role is less suited to someone whose ERP experience has been entirely internal. They need a consultant who is accustomed to implementing software across multiple external customers.

What's on offer
  • Fully remote working within the United States
  • Comprehensive health and retirement benefits
  • Generous paid time off
  • Wellness support
  • A flexible working environment
  • The opportunity to take genuine technical ownership of customer implementations

Some customer travel and occasional flexibility around go-live periods will be required.

Applicants must already have full authorization to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
