Southland Industries seeks a Director of Innovation to build and lead the enterprise innovation function. You will shape strategy, operating model, governance, and partnerships, with initial emphasis on AI, Generative AI, and emerging technologies, while balancing speed with risk and compliance.

You will partner with PMO, Change Management, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Legal, Procurement, Finance, Data & Analytics, HR and business leaders to move ideas to scalable solutions, delivering

Qualifikationen

• Experience building or leading innovation, digital, emerging-technology, or transformation capabilities.
• Experience taking ideas from concept through experimentation and into scaled implementation.
• Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, automation, data, and emerging-technology trends and their practical business application.
• Ability to establish governance, intake, prioritization, experimentation, and portfolio-management processes.

Aufgaben

• Establish enterprise innovation strategy, operating model, governance, processes, funding approach, and ways of working.
• Define roles, decision rights, investment criteria, escalation paths, standards, and guardrails.
• Establish and manage an Innovation Steering Committee with portfolio reviews and reporting.
• Create lifecycle moving opportunities from idea to assessment, experiment, and scale decision.
• Establish common enterprise process for capturing, framing, and evaluating opportunities.
• Partner with business leaders to define problems, outcomes, and sponsors.
• Evaluate opportunities based on strategic alignment, value, feasibility, and risk.
• Establish disciplined pilots, proofs of concept, and experiments with clear success criteria.
• Lead enterprise approach to evaluating AI, Generative AI, automation, and other tech.
• Define graduation criteria and transition scaled initiatives into enterprise delivery.
