Job summary

Guardian Life seeks a senior leader to set and execute an enterprise financial planning strategy across channels and client segments. You will build a protection-first, holistic planning model integrating insurance, retirement, investments, and wealth management.

You will guide governance, workflows, and digital capabilities, translating complex concepts into practical tools and client-friendly recommendations for sophisticated HNW and UHNW needs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in financial services or wealth management, with significant leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading planning or advice strategy within an insurance, investment, or wealth management organization.
• Proven experience supporting complex HNW and UHNW client needs and building scalable models.
• Deep understanding of life insurance, annuities, retirement, investments, and protection in holistic plans.
• Knowledge of advanced planning concepts and translating complex information into client-friendly solutions.
• Experience using technology, data, and metrics to improve planning quality, adoption, and outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders across distribution, product, operations, technology, marketing, legal, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute Guardian’s enterprise financial planning strategy across channels and client segments.
• Define governance, workflows, technology platforms, service standards, decision rights, and process improvements.
• Clarify how each planning discipline is reflected within the enterprise framework for client/advisor alignment.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and client needs to keep offerings differentiated.
• Design scalable planning models and deliverables for complex HNW and UHNW needs.
• Lead the evolution of digital planning capabilities to improve planning quality and advisor productivity.
• Translate complex concepts into practical tools, frameworks, case designs, and client-friendly recommendations.
• Partner with advisors, product teams, and specialists to address advanced planning within engagement models.
