Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking the founding VP of Engineering to lead the development of its Workforce Management platform from design to GA and beyond. You will build the engineering organization, set delivery cadence and quality, and ensure timely production rollout.

You will partner with architecture, Contact Center teams, product stakeholders, and business units to align strategy with delivery. You will hire and structure the team, establish cloud-native standards, and drive reliability,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise SaaS.
• 7+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Track record building and leading global engineering organizations.
• Strong understanding of workforce management for contact centers.
• Hands-on familiarity with constraint-based optimization with OR-Tools or similar solvers.
• Technical experience in Java and cloud-native development on AWS.
• Proficiency with CI/CD toolchains and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience building/operating cloud-native distributed systems and real-time APIs.
• Strong production ownership mindset and incident leadership.
• Executive-level communication to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end engineering delivery for the Fidelity WFM platform GA and roadmap.
• Build and lead the WFM engineering organization: hire, structure, and manage teams.
• Partner with architecture to translate target architecture into engineering execution.
• Ensure WFM services are designed with SLOs, observability, resilience, and security.
• Establish engineering standards for cloud-native development and event-driven architecture.
• Report delivery status and risk to senior leadership and escalate as needed.
• Represent WFM engineering in cross-program planning with Contact Center teams.
• Foster ownership, technical excellence, and measurable business impact.
