You will own the engineering strategy, roadmap, delivery, and ongoing support, working with product and business leaders to translate needs into measurable capabilities.

The role emphasizes modern, secure, cloud-based, API-first, event-driven systems, with responsibility for reliability, performance, and modernization while mentoring a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering delivery, including 2+ years in an engineering leadership role.
• Proven success leading cross-functional delivery of enterprise-grade SaaS, commerce, or business-management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering strategy, technical roadmap, delivery, and ongoing support for the Shop Management System and its services.
• Partner with Product and business leaders to translate shop-owner and technician needs into clear, prioritized platform capabilities.
• Lead design and delivery of end-to-end shop workflows (records, appointments, estimates, inspections, orders, invoicing, payments, reporting).
• Drive integration with NAPA commerce, catalog, pricing, availability, ordering, payments, identity, and third-party partners.
• Provide technical direction for modern, secure, cloud-based, API-first, event-driven solutions; ensure reliability and observability.
• Be accountable for platform reliability, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team; foster ownership and inclusion.
