Job summary

Accelerate Talent Group seeks a Director of Engineering for a leading manufacturing partner in Oak Creek, WI. You will lead a small multi-disciplinary team, drive new product development from concept to launch, and establish disciplined project management with clear milestones.

You will partner with sales, operations, and executives to align objectives, providing strategic direction while remaining technically engaged to guide execution and continuous improvement across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong track record in new product development and commercialization.
• Ability to implement structure and process during growth or transformation.
• Confident communicator driving accountability and tough conversations.
• Player-coach leadership with hands-on technical engagement.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of mechanical and electrical engineering professionals.
• Own and drive new product development initiatives from concept through launch.
• Establish project management discipline, milestones, and accountability measures.
• Accelerate product development timelines and improve engineering execution.
• Partner closely with sales, operations, and executive leadership to align business and engineering objectives.
• Provide both strategic leadership and hands‑on technical guidance as needed.
• Evaluate and leverage external engineering resources to support growth initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
