ADP is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to lead the U.S. Money Movement organization, overseeing a global team of 80+ engineers responsible for the collection and disbursement platforms for clients, employees, agencies, and third parties.

The role balances platform modernization, reliability, risk, and client commitments. The leader will drive platform strategy, modernization, and DevSecOps while maintaining operational resiliency.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, application development, or enterprise technology.
• 8+ years leading engineering organizations, including managers and senior technical leaders.
• Experience managing a large, globally distributed engineering organization.
• Proven ownership of mission-critical, high-availability transaction platforms.
• Experience leading major cloud migrations, platform modernizations, or architectural transformations.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering, systems integration, data platforms, DevOps, and production operations.
• Experience managing significant budgets, vendors, and technology investment portfolios.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through high-impact incidents and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and scale a globally distributed organization of approximately 80+ engineers.
• Own the engineering strategy and technology roadmap for U.S. Money Movement.
• Maintain production health and resiliency of high-volume platforms.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Infrastructure to meet client commitments.
• Communicate complex technical matters to executives and technical teams with clarity.
