Job summary

Autonomize AI is hiring a Head of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering teams as we accelerate adoption across health systems, payers, and provider networks. You’ll set the technical vision, drive cross-functional execution, and deliver enterprise-grade AI products with resilience and security.

You will partner with CTO, Product, and Sales to align platform investments with business outcomes, build for scale, and attract top engineering talent in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ in leadership roles building enterprise Data and AI systems.
• Experience with healthcare payers and/or large provider systems in startups.
• Deep understanding of enterprise healthcare infrastructure, ML/data pipelines, and APIs (HL7, FHIR, EHR integrations).
• Proven track record shipping secure, compliant, production-grade software in health tech.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve platform roadmap aligned with business priorities and customer expectations.
• Guide architectural decisions across ML pipelines, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Own infrastructure scalability and data security/compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2).
• Lead and scale engineering organization across geographies and product lines.
• Establish release cadence and ensure quality and stability of deployments.
