Job summary

Ethos is seeking heads of engineering to help train its latest language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. You will create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated outputs across multiple workflows, including design docs, data pipelines, model evaluation reports, and API guides.

We value expert-level craftsmanship in documents and slides, with strong written communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 4+ years writing technical design documents, data pipeline docs, or API specifications.
• Experience evaluating model outputs or system readiness for engineering stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows.
• Document technical tradeoffs and readiness for engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain design documents, architecture decision records, API guides, and onboarding guides.
