Plexus Resource Solutions is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead a blockchain infrastructure team and own the technical strategy as the business scales. The role combines hands-on development with strategic leadership in a fully remote US setting.

You will guide the engineering function, shape platform architecture, and drive delivery of secure, scalable production products while collaborating with executives, product teams and external clients.

Head of Engineering | Remote | United States | Up to $300k + Equity/Tokens

Plexus has partnered with a fast-growing blockchain infrastructure company operating in the Real World Assets (RWA) space, and we're looking for a Head of Engineering to lead the engineering function as the business scales.

The company is building infrastructure that brings traditional financial assets onchain, enabling institutions and investors to access tokenised financial products.

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to take ownership of technical strategy, build and lead a high-performing team, and remain hands‑on with development before transitioning into a broader leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead an engineering organisation of approximately 12 people, including two engineering leads
• Own the technical strategy, platform architecture and long‑term engineering vision
• Build and develop an engineering team capable of delivering secure, scalable production products
• Remain hands‑on with coding, particularly across Solidity and TypeScript
• Oversee smart contract development, blockchain infrastructure and third‑party financial integrations
• Work closely with executives, product teams and external customers to shape technical priorities
• Establish engineering standards across security, code quality, reliability and delivery
• Design and scale the engineering organisation as the company grows

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership and team management
• Proven experience building, scaling and leading engineering teams
• Strong background in blockchain, crypto or DeFi, with experience shipping production products
• Solid technical experience with Solidity and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of smart contract architecture, security and onchain financial infrastructure
• Experience designing engineering processes, hiring engineers and leading technical teams
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to executives and external stakeholders
• Comfortable balancing hands‑on development with engineering leadership
• Must be based in the United States

Nice to have:

• Direct experience building RWA or asset tokenisation platforms
• Experience integrating blockchain products with traditional financial institutions
• Previous experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering or engineering leader at an early‑stage crypto company
• Experience managing engineering leads and building teams through periods of rapid growth
• Strong understanding of institutional DeFi and onchain financial products
• Salary up to $300,000
