Hanwha Energy USA, headquartered in Houston, Texas, seeks an experienced leader for Head of Origination to drive Retail and Wholesale Origination strategies for Gentailer business. The role involves structuring deals with large commercial and industrial customers and coordinating with Trading, Risk, Analytics, Strategy and Retail Sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in energy with at least 5 years in power origination and trading.
• Proven track record of P&L from tolling arrangements and PPAs.
• Experience structuring, negotiating, and executing retail power service agreements for large commercial and industrial customers.
• Established network of industry contacts with corporate entities and trade associations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in wholesale electricity markets and market rules.

Responsibilities

• Formulate overall Wholesale and Retail Origination strategy with CRO, COO and CSO.
• Execute full transaction cycle: structuring, pitching, negotiating, closing deals.
• Lead origination efforts for M&A and large C&I loads including data centers and crypto miners.
• Build and maintain relationships with wholesale counterparties, major retailers, and brokers.
• Deliver KPIs for Origination team and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Support due diligence for late-stage projects and assets; collaborate on M&A activity.
• Prepare marketing materials and proposals to pitch origination opportunities to customers.
