Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Augusta, GA is seeking a full-time Emergency Service Head Veterinarian to lead our ER Clinicians, Specialists and Leadership Team, ensuring top-quality medicine for pets and our community.

The ER Service Head is a clinically practicing manager responsible for scheduling, hiring, training, mentoring, ER meetings, and representing the ER team as a hospital leader, with shifts to support the team alongside the Medical Director.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Completion of rotating internship or BluePearl EmERge program required.
• 2+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• Valid veterinary licensure in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the ER Clinician team and participate in hospital leadership.
• Oversee scheduling, hiring, training and mentoring of ER staff.
• Facilitate regular ER meetings and represent the ER team in leadership discussions.
• Collaborate with Medical Director to maintain high patient care standards.
• Work varied shifts to support the team.
