Job summary

Health First seeks a Director of Emergency Services to provide strategic leadership of the Tertiary Hospital Emergency Department operations, quality, and patient experience at Holmes Regional Medical Center.

The role oversees growth, resource allocation, and regulatory compliance, partnering with senior leaders to deliver safe, high‑quality care and drive continuous improvement within Health First’s network.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Business or Healthcare Administration (MBA/MHA) or related field.
• Four (4) years of nursing leadership experience.
• Two (2) years of emergency service environment experience.
• Florida RN licensure or Florida endorsement.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for improvement within the service line and implement solutions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate the emergency services program ensuring patient quality and safety.
• Drive operational excellence and compliant service delivery.
• Oversee care processes and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Support decision-making for clinical policies and nursing goals.
• Stay current with industry trends and implement new initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory adherence and Health First policies.
• Prepare and present annual progress reports to leadership.
• Participate in IDN committees and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve access to care.
