BlueShift seeks a Director of Engineering to bridge lab science and multi-megawatt deployment. You will own the full engineering lifecycle, from cell stack scale-up to BOP design, process engineering, and field commissioning.

You will shape safety culture, drive manufacturability, and partner with the CEO and board to optimize budgets and technology roadmaps. A hands-on leader will manage a growing team in Cambridge, MA.

Formación

• 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership in hardware/startup environments.
• PhD/advanced degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrochemical Engineering or related field.
• Deep technical background in electrochemical systems such as electrolyzers or fuel cells.
• Proven track record moving lab-scale tech to pilot and commercial production.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee evolution of electrochemical cell technology from lab to multi-cell commercial stacks.
• Lead safety culture through PHA/HAZOP across lab, pilot, and commercial systems.
• Direct process engineering to design, simulate, and build BOP fluid, thermal, and electrical control systems.
• Ensure designs enable mass production, supply chain resilience, and automated assembly.
• Interface with EPC firms to manage large-scale system build, scheduling, and delivery.
• Supervise on-site deployment, testing, and commissioning of first commercial pilots with partners.
• Refine TEA and system cost models to drive down levelized costs.
• Align technology roadmaps with business milestones and present progress to executives.
